Effective date: 22 October 2026
This policy explains how GymStreak Ltd, trading as GymStreak Labs ("we", "us"), collects, uses and shares information when you use Skin Girlie, our skincare chat app (the "App"). GymStreak Ltd is the controller of your personal information.
Skin Girlie gives general cosmetic skincare tips. It is not medical advice and doesn't diagnose or treat any condition.
1. What we collect
What you give us
-
Your profile: the first name you choose, and your answers about your skin, what you want to work on and your budget. We also keep your time zone.
-
Chats: the messages you send Skin Girlie and its replies.
-
Notes Skin Girlie keeps: short facts you mention that matter for your skin, like "fragrance stings" or "wedding in June". You can see and delete these in Settings › What Skin Girlie knows.
-
Photos you choose to take:
-
Selfies (optional, including weekly progress photos) are stored privately in our cloud storage so you can compare them over time.
-
Product label scans are read on your phone. Only the text from the label is sent to us, not the photo.
-
Your shelf and routine: the names of products you scan, our verdicts, your morning and night routine, and when you tick steps off.
-
Glow Squad:
-
If you join a squad, the other members see your first name, your check-in status, your streak and the messages you post in the squad chat.
-
Selfies are never shared with your squad unless you choose to share one.
-
Invite links: if you start a squad, anyone who opens its invite link (in a browser or the App Clip) sees your first name, the squad's challenge and how many people are in it, even if they don't join. Only share the link with people you want to see that.
-
Reports and blocks: if you report a squad message or a squad's challenge, or block someone, we keep the report, the reported message and who it involves so we can review it.
-
Support messages you send us in the App.
Collected automatically
-
Device and app information: device model, iOS version, app version, crash and performance data.
-
Usage: which features you use, like messages sent, scans and check-ins. We use this to run your daily limits and improve the App.
-
Notification token, if you allow notifications.
-
Invite link requests: when an invite link is opened, we keep a one-way scrambled form of the IP address to stop people guessing codes, and delete it within two hours.
-
Install attribution: how you found the App, for example which ad. If you allow tracking when iOS asks, this can include your device's advertising identifier.
Location (optional)
If you turn on the daily skin forecast, your phone asks iOS for your approximate location and sends it to Apple's weather service to get today's UV and humidity. We show the nearest town on the card. We don't receive or store your location on our servers.
2. How we use it
-
To run the App: answer your questions, build your routine, check scans against your shelf, run squads and send reminders.
-
To personalise answers using your profile, shelf and the notes Skin Girlie keeps.
-
To run the daily message and scan limits.
-
To keep the App safe and working, and to fix problems.
-
To understand which features and marketing work.
-
To show sponsored product suggestions, if we turn them on (see section 4).
3. AI service providers
To write Skin Girlie's replies and check scanned labels, your messages, the text from labels and the relevant parts of your profile, routine, shelf and notes are sent to AI service providers who process them for us. The App asks your permission before it sends anything to them for the first time, and you can withdraw it in Settings › Privacy.
Under our agreements, these providers use the data only to provide their service to us. They may keep it for a limited time (typically up to 30 days) to detect abuse, and they don't use it to train their models.
Please don't share medical emergencies or sensitive health information in chat. For anything painful, spreading, sudden or changing, see a doctor or dermatologist.
4. Advertising and measurement
-
Sponsored suggestions: Skin Girlie may show product suggestions clearly labelled "Sponsored" in future. They're switched off today. Before we share any of your information with an advertising partner, we'll update this policy and the App's privacy details.
-
Measuring our own ads: if you allow tracking when iOS asks, our attribution partner may share install events with ad platforms (for example social networks) so we can measure our own ads. If you don't allow it, we don't. You can change this any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
We don't sell your personal information. If you allow tracking, sharing install events with ad platforms may count as "sharing" for targeted advertising under some US state laws; you can opt out by not allowing tracking, or by emailing us. Otherwise we share information only with:
-
Service providers who work for us: cloud hosting, database and photo storage, crash reporting, AI service providers, and our attribution, analytics and customer support platform.
-
Apple, which runs the App Store and provides the weather service.
-
Other squad members, for what you post or share in a squad, and anyone with your squad's invite link, for your first name, the squad's challenge and its member count.
-
Authorities, when the law requires it, and a buyer if our business is sold or merged.
6. How long we keep it
-
While you use the App: we keep your data for as long as you use the App.
-
Deleting things yourself: you can delete your selfies, your shelf items or Skin Girlie's notes at any time in the App.
-
Deleting your account: in Settings, delete your account to remove your profile, chats, notes, shelf and selfies. Selfies are removed from storage, and our systems retry until they're gone.
-
Deleting a note isn't deleting a chat: removing something from What Skin Girlie knows doesn't delete the chat it came from. Deleting your account deletes both.
-
AI service providers may keep data for a limited time, as described in section 3.
-
Reports: we keep squad reports for up to 12 months after we've dealt with them, to handle repeat problems.
-
What we keep after deletion: limited records the law requires.
-
To provide the App you asked for (contract): your profile, chats, routine, shelf, and squad.
-
With your permission (consent): AI processing of your messages and labels, optional selfies, location for the forecast, notifications and tracking. You can withdraw it at any time.
-
Our legitimate interests: keeping the App secure, fixing problems and understanding which features work.
-
Legal obligations: for example keeping records the law requires.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the UK, the EU or California), you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to some uses.
-
Most of this you can do in the App.
-
For anything else, email support@gymstreaklabs.com.
-
You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and private storage for photos. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
10. Children
Skin Girlie is not for children under 13, or under 16 where local law requires.
11. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use standard safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date. If the change is significant, we'll tell you in the App.
